What a Wonderful Surprise for Both of Us!

My husband and I have been coming to Ponte since it first opened. Every Thanksgiving we camp at Lake Skinner, do our turkey on the barbeque and then go wine tasting the day after... For years, my husband hated wine. During our first five years together, comments like “It smells funny,” “I can’t stand the stuff,” and “I can’t understand why anyone likes that garbage,” were common remarks when the subject of wine came up... My husband and I moved to Southern California 9 years ago. During our first trip to Temecula, we fell in love with Ponte Wines and the winery itself... Nicole (Nicky) LaChapelle Forester was a living angel. She was the kind of person who would always come running, no matter who needed her or what was needed.... As new residents of Temecula, we joined Ponte's Wine Club in April 2004... |
