What a Wonderful Surprise for Both of Us!Category: Wine Club Tales | Permalink Published: Thursday, April 23, 2009 Unbeknownst to my husband, I became a Ponte Wine Club Member. It was supposed to be a surprise...just because...no birthday or anything. He took a day off for us to "go do something." So we drove to the vineyard. I went to the Member Desk much to his surprise and walked away with the appropriate tasting glasses. Surprise, Honey! We're members. So we taste away. As it happens, while we were standing there tasting, a lovely man walked up to us and asked if we wanted to come taste something special. Of course, we said. So back behind the scenes we went and tasted a wonderful new Beverino (our favorite). We couldn't figure out how we got picked until I noticed that everyone back there was a member (the special glasses). What a wonderful surprise for us both! That just made the day all the more special. Needless-to-say, I was the "queen of the day" for becoming members of a winery that allowed us to feel so special and so involved. Now we always drive to the winery to pick-up our wine shipment. P.S. (The special tasting happened the second time I went with my husband as well) ~ Carol Fuller, Ponte Member since 2008
