Ponte’s 6th Annual Fall Winemaker Dinner

Category: Archive 2008  |  Permalink

Published: Thursday, October 30, 2008

TEMECULA, CA -- Ponte Winery is celebrating the harvest season by hosting its 6th Annual Fall Winemaker Dinner.

As in past years, this event will include a multi-course meal featuring the seasons best ingredients, wine pairings including newly released wines and live music. The event will take place in the candle-lit barrel room where guests will dine amidst oak barrels lining the walls.

Guests at the Fall Winemaker Dinner will also have the chance to chat with winemaker, Robert Cartwright, who will be in attendance to discuss wine pairings and the 2008 harvest. The evening's cuisine is quintessentially autumn. Steve Stawinski, Executive Chef of the Smokehouse Restaurant says,

"Winemaker Dinners at Ponte are all about showcasing local, seasonal ingredients and pairing each course with the perfect wine. On the Fall Winemaker Dinner menu, you'll see classic fall foods like mushrooms, bitter greens and squashes, all paired with great wines including three that have not been released from the winery yet: Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel and Late Harvest Cabernet."
