Ponte Winery Presents Family Movie Night For A CauseCategory: Press Release | Permalink Published: Tuesday, July 21, 2009 Get ready for some great family entertainment under the stars at Ponte Winery's first ever Family Movie Night. The whole family is invited to screen "Kung Fu Panda" in the Vineyard Garden and support a local cause. This fun-filled event will help Team Ponte, a group of 40 associates and wine club members of the winery who are racing in the America's Finest City half marathon and 5K on August 16th. Team Ponte is raising funds to help support Rancho Damacitas, a 24-hour recovery home for mistreated children in the Temecula area. ![]() "When we learned of Rancho Damacitas in November 2008, we knew we wanted to do something to help these kids who live right up the street from us," explains Direct Sales Manager Ragan Erickson. "For years we have wanted to host a movie night at Ponte Winery just for fun, but now we have a great cause for doing so. We'll be selling snacks and hosting a wine bar for adults, and 100% of the evenings proceeds will help support the needs of the children at Rancho Damacitas who are recovering from abuse or neglect. There will also be a silent auction for some fantastic items, so don't forget your checkbooks!" Upon entering the event, guests may make donations to Rancho Damacitas if they wish. After selecting their spot on the grass, adults can partake in the wine bar and silent auction, while everyone in the family can dive into ice cream sundaes, popcorn, watermelon and candy before viewing the delightful and hilarious film. Chairs will be provided, but the winery recommends guests bring picnic blankets. Ponte Winery's Family Movie Night will take place on Thursday, July 30th. Doors open at 7:30 pm and "Kung Fu Panda" begins at 8:15 pm. Admission is free for all guests. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. No outside food or beverages, please. No reservations required. For more information please contact Ragan Erickson at 951-694-8855 or visit the winery's website at www.PonteWinery.com.
