Helps maintain a front porch friendly atmosphere while providing our guests with a fun and enjoyable wine tasting experience. We're looking for an energetic, self-motivated, outgoing person who thrives in a social and lively environment. A minimum of 3 year sales experience and a passion for wine and people is required.

Job Description:
Ensures the quality, consistency and presentation of the restaurant's food exceeds the guests' expectations.

Ensures that the quality, consistency, and presentation of the food and service at the restaurant exceeds the guests' expectation in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.

Under the Guest Services Manager, you will hire, train, and manage the Reception Desk, Bell, Valet and Concierge Associates, regarding daily responsibilities, performance, accountability, service standards, guest satisfaction, department policies, hotel services, procedures and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Front Desk including bell, valet, concierge, and Night Audit, as the Front Office Manager and assist in other departments as needed
  • Maintain an active presence at the Front Desk where at least 50% of the work week physically exists at the Front of House

Job Description:
Responsible for reconciling hotel accounts to ensure that all financial transactions are accounted for accurately and timely. Reports financial information to hotel management and Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand, enforce and teach the Ponte values, service standards
  • Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
  • Post into QuickBooks the daily accounts including credit card transactions after running appropriate reports to verify accuracy of data.
  • Research and resolve any un-posted tickets or reservation transactions from the day shift.
  • Audit the shift closing from the front desk personnel to ensure accuracy of transactions and reporting.
  • Follow all procedures to properly handle all cash transactions.
  • Prepare guest ledger reports as requested by management.
  • Prepare daily flash reports as requested by management.
  • Understand and respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be familiar with hotel information necessary to enhance customer satisfaction including rate structures, specials and restrictions, types of rooms and suites available, and hotel services including costs and location.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of the local area in order to provide guests with information about location, cost, and hours of operation of local services, facilities and points of interest.
  • Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Register guests and assign rooms upon guests arrival including handling of cash, credit and check transactions after regular hours.
  • Resolve guest complaints and problems referring them to management as needed.
  • Be familiar with hotel emergency procedures, and provide calm, reassuring assistance to guests and fellow associates in the event of an emergency.
  • Answering telephones with a smile, taking reservations, and handling messages for guests during night hours.

Ensures that the quality, consistency, and presentation of the food and service at the restaurant exceeds the guests' expectation in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager.
