Ponte Winery announces new blog category: Wedding VinesCategory: Wedding Vines | Permalink Published: Wednesday, June 03, 2009 We are extremely excited to announce the addition of our new blog dedicated to all things wedding related. We feel this will be a fun and useful resource for our Ponte brides as they plan their dream wedding amongst the vines. So who exactly did we select to head up this exciting new venture? Well, we knew the person had to have a passion for wedding planning, be current on industry trends, enjoy assisting brides with their many questions, and more importantly, have a love for weddings at Ponte! Taking all of those requirements into consideration, it was simple; we selected from one of our very own.  Kerry Pulverman is the owner of de Luxe Weddings & Events, an Orange County based event coordination company serving all of Southern California. Before marrying in 2007 at Ponte Winery, Kerry became certified as a wedding professional in hopes of one day starting her own wedding consulting business. This certification came in handy as she planned every last detail of her wedding. Kerry explains that as she walked by the tent pavilion on her wedding day and saw our banquet staff setting up, she was overcome with emotion seeing every small detail of her vision come to life. It was at that moment she realized wedding planning was her true passion. Right before she walked down the aisle, she even told our bridal hostess, Wendy that she would be back to work at Ponte one day. She held true to that promise by taking on a three month internship under the direction of her mentor, Karon Cartwright, our Food and Beverage Director at Ponte Winery. At some point during this internship, Kerry was honored to be hired as a Ponte employee working in our Special Events Department. If you were married between August and November of 2008 or are currently in the process of planning your wedding, you may have had the pleasure of chatting with Kerry a time or two on the phone. Ponte has a very special place in Kerry's heart for many reasons but with a busy consulting business to tend to, we will need to settle for the next best thing. As our new wedding blog writer, she will be touching upon a variety of different subjects each week, which we hope will be of great inspiration to brides or wedding planners. Some of these include sharing fresh ideas to make your wedding stand out, discussing some of the more interesting things past Ponte brides have done to make their wedding a huge success, discussions on colors and themes, providing helpful information on various vendors in the industry, and much more to come. So keep an eye on our blog spot to watch for Kerry's latest posts.
