New Hours, New Menu and New Wine Flights at The Smokehouse Restaurant at Ponte Winery

TEMECULA, CA -- Saturday dinner options and Sunday brunch in Temecula have just gotten better. The Smokehouse Restaurant at Ponte Winery is now open for dinner on Saturday evenings from 5:00pm - 9:30pm and is now serving a new Sunday brunch buffet from 10am-2pm every Sunday.

Along with the new hours will come a brand new spring menu from executive chef, Steve Stawinski. Among the 13 new seasonal dishes that will debut are Lamb Bolognese Pizza topped with ground lamb and tangy goat cheese, cooked to perfection in a grape-wood burning oven; Artichoke Gratin combines tender baby artichokes, parmesan bechamel sauce and focaccia bread crumb topping, baked until golden and bubbly. You will want to save room for one of the chef's house-made desserts, including the Strawberry Napoleon with local strawberries from Crow's Pass Farms, warm bread pudding and goat cheese custard, or the new Trio of Truffles.

"The Smokehouse is all about seasonal cuisine that tastes great with Ponte wines,"says chef Steve Stawinski. "Over the past year, the winery has seriously focused on sustainability, a position that the restaurant has also adopted. We use local ingredients as much as possible including produce from Sage Mountain Farms, cheeses from Winchester Cheese Co, and veal from Strauss Farms, who raise their stock humanely on the open range. And, the fact is, local ingredients just taste better."

Another brand new element to The Smokehouse this year is wine flights. Hugely successful since introduced, wine flights give diners the chance to sample three different Ponte wines with their meal as opposed to drinking one glass of the same wine throughout their meal. Dinner at the Smokehouse is a delicious choice for birthdays, anniversaries, date night or when you just feel like treating yourself to a dinner away from home.

The Smokehouse Restaurant is open daily from 11am to 5pm with dinner on Saturdays from 5:00pm to 9:30pm and brunch on Sundays from 10am to 2pm with lunch service following from 2pm to 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made at www.PonteWinery.com or by calling The Smokehouse directly at (951) 252-1770.
